We absolutely love this illustration we found on the cover of a 1970s USC football program. This gargantuan gamecock is towering over Williams-Brice Stadium, one of the loudest venues in college football, much like the Gamecocks command the field on game days. The most passionate fans know, of course, that the most raucous place to be at Williams-Brice is the upper deck, because as Joe Morrison famously said, “if it ain’t swayin’, we ain’t playin’.”
