Northern Arizona had long gravitated toward a lumberjack as the school’s mascot, but finally made it official in 1964. In 1968, the school debuted its first official NAU Lumberjacks logo, as well as this alternate NAU axe logo. It remained in use until 1987. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
