We love this bug-eyed, wingless Drexel Dragon, found across midcentury-era university signage. His lighthearted look reminds us a bit of Mario the Magnificent, the current Drexel mascot and the university’s No. 1 fan. Named for alum Mario V. Mascioli, who had a 20-year attendance streak at Drexel games, Mario received his name in the 1990s, after decades of being simply known as The Dragon.
